Tyler Driskill
Piano
Tyler was in love with the piano by the time he was old enough to be able to walk over to one. While earning his B.M. in music theory at the University of Michigan, he studied with Lynne Bartholomew, who taught him everything he knows about technique. Tyler accompanies tap, ballet and styles classes for the U-M Musical Theatre department and performs often with the Saline Big Band. A regular in area pit orchestras, he has also served as music director and accompanist for a number of community theatre groups in southeast lower Michigan. |

Eric Walters
Bass
Eric grew up in the Ypsilanti area and began his musical training
in fifth grade, playing violin. Two years later his orchestra
teacher, Al Townsend (of The Ambassadors) switched him to
string bass. Eric has fond memories of Al playing a swing bass
line under a bunch of junior high kids playing English Country
Gardens. Eric has played with area orchestras including
the Plymouth Symphony, the Ypsilanti Symphony, and the Adrian Symphony. He
is currently playing with the Ypsilanti Community Band, the Saline
Big Band, the Riverside Big Band, and the Livingston Symphony. His
jazz credits include the Art III, Misbehavin’,
The Paul Vornhagen Quintet, and The Mark Williams Trio. Eric
is thrilled to have the opportunity to play small group jazz again. There
is nothing quite so alive as live jazz. |
